Sanding Sevices

Welcome to FLYcncpart's sanding service! By smoothing the surface through a progressive sanding process, our Shenzhen team provides fine control, suitable for prototypes and final finishes.
Processing Overview
Description: Sanding uses sandpaper or abrasive wheels to gradually remove surface irregularities (from 60# coarse to 2000# fine), achieving a roughness of Ra 0.2-3.2μm. The process includes wet/dry sanding, polishing, and inspection, with a multi-stage process time of 10-60 minutes.

Applicable Materials: Metal, plastic, wood, composites.

Visual Appearance: Smooth glossy or semi-gloss surface, gradually progressing from rough to mirror finish.
Advantage
  • Advantages: Surface Flatness: Efficiently removes scratches and burrs, improving the finish.
  • Multi-stage Flexibility: From coarse grinding to fine polishing, adapting to different needs.
  • Low Cost: Manual or automated, suitable for small batches. No thermal deformation: Wet grinding with cooling to avoid material damage.
  • Pretreatment: Optimizes adhesion of subsequent coatings or plating.
  • Versatility: Applicable to a wide range of materials and shapes.
Precautions
  • Grit selection: Use coarse grit to remove large defects and fine grit for finishing; avoid skipping grades that may cause scratches.
  • Cooling management: Use water during wet grinding to prevent overheating and test the material's water absorption capacity.
  • Use uniform pressure: Manually grind with controlled force to avoid dents.
  • Design considerations: Plan edge treatment to match part curvature.
  • Quality standards: Comply with ASTM D4417 and check Ra values.
  • Safety measures: Wear a mask and gloves to control dust.
