Bead Blasted + Anodizing Type II (Matte / Glossy) Services

Welcome to FLYcncpart's Bead Blasted + Anodizing Type II (Matte / Glossy) Service! Combining mechanical sandblasting and electrochemical oxidation to provide a matte or glossy protective layer, our Shenzhen team ensures a seamless integration, enhancing your part's durability and appearance.
Processing Overview
Description: The surface is first bead-blasted to clean (Ra 1.6-3.2μm), followed by Type II anodizing (sulfuric acid electrolyte, thickness 10-25μm) to form a protective oxide layer. Matte versions retain the blasted texture, while glossy versions are polished. The process includes blasting pretreatment, plating, and sealing, with a total time of 1-4 hours.

Applicable Materials: Aluminum and its alloys (such as 6061 and 7075).

Visual Appearance: Matte satin or glossy metallic tones with uniform texture and stable color.
Advantage
  • Enhanced Adhesion: The blasted texture improves the adhesion of the oxide layer and resists peeling.
  • Dual Protection: Combines mechanical cleaning and chemical corrosion resistance, extending product life by 20-30%.
  • Aesthetics and Flexibility: The matte finish hides defects, while the gloss finish enhances gloss, making it suitable for consumer products. Wear and Weather Resistance: The oxide layer resists scratches, and the sandblasted texture is non-slip.
  • Eco-Friendly and Efficient: The process is low-waste and suitable for medium-volume production.
  • Multiple Applications: Ideal for electronic housings or automotive trim.

Precautions
  • Sequential Control: Sandblast before oxidation to avoid texture damage; test for texture retention.
  • Uniform Thickness: Matte versions have a thickness of 10-15μm, glossy versions 15-25μm; avoid unevenness.
  • Sealing: Choose hot water or nickel salt sealing for enhanced corrosion resistance.
  • Design Considerations: Design for uniform wall thickness and plan shielded areas to protect threads.
  • Quality Standards: Comply with MIL-A-8625 Type II, checking thickness, color, and adhesion.
  • Safety Measures: Wear protective gear when sandblasting, and control acid mist emissions during oxidation.
