  • Q Is 321 stainless steel magnetic?

    A
    In the annealed state, 321 is non-magnetic, but  slight magnetism may appear after cold  working.

  • Q What is the maximum service temperature for 321?

    A
    It is generally used up to 870 °C (1600 °F) for  oxidation resistance, and up to 925 °C (1700 °F)  for intermittent service.

  • Q Why choose 321 instead of 304?

    A
    321 provides better resistance to intergranular  corrosion at high temperatures due to its  titanium stabilization.
