Ultem 1000 is an unfilled, general-purpose grade of polyetherimide (PEI), offering outstanding strength, rigidity, and high-temperature resistance. It combines excellent dimensional stability with inherent flame resistance, making it a preferred choice for demanding industrial and electrical applications.

Introduction to Ultem 1000

What
Ultem 1000 is an amorphous thermoplastic polyetherimide resin containing no fillers or reinforcements. It provides a unique balance of mechanical toughness, dielectric strength, and resistance to heat and chemicals. With a continuous use temperature of around 170–180°C, it outperforms many engineering plastics in thermal and mechanical stability.
