What
Stainless Steel 303 (UNS S30300 / EN 1.4305) is an austenitic stainless steel specifically designed to improve machinability. The addition of sulfur enhances chip-breaking during machining, making it the most easily machined of all austenitic grades. However, this sulfur content slightly reduces its corrosion resistance compared to 304. It maintains good mechanical strength and is widely chosen for high-volume production of precision parts on CNC lathes and milling machines.
