What
Stainless Steel 301 (UNS S30100 / EN 1.4310) is an austenitic stainless steel that gains strength primarily through cold working rather than heat treatment. Its high work-hardening rate allows it to achieve tensile strengths well above 304, making it suitable for applications requiring strength and wear resistance. While its corrosion resistance is slightly lower than 304, it remains adequate for most indoor and general industrial environments. It is also known for its ability to retain toughness and ductility even at cryogenic temperatures.
